Sifr offers its payment accounts and related payment services in cooperation with Transact Payments Malta Limited, a payment and electronic money institution authorized and regulated by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) to carry out its activities within Malta and the European Economic Area (EEA).
Sifr B.V. is located at Tijnmuiden 79, 1046 AK Amsterdam and registered with the Chamber of Commerce under number 96888431.
The parent company, Sifr Tech Ltd, has its registered office in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), United Arab Emirates.
Cooperation with a regulated European institution allows Sifr's checking accounts to be offered securely and in compliance with European regulations.
SIFR's general terms and conditions contain the rules for using the services and the interaction between the customer and Sifr.
In addition, the terms and conditions of Transact Payments Malta Limited (TPML) apply to all electronic money and payment services offered through the Sifr platform.
These terms and conditions are designed to clearly define your rights and obligations as a customer and to ensure that the services comply with European laws and regulations.

Sifr's products are not covered by the deposit guarantee scheme (DGS) applicable to banks. However, your funds are safeguarded according to Article 10B of the Maltese Financial Institutions Act (Chapter 376).
This means that your money is held in segregated accounts at the Dutch Central Bank (DNB). These accounts are completely separate from Sifr's equity and are used exclusively to protect customer assets.
Even in the unlikely event that Sifr becomes insolvent, your funds remain legally protected. More information on this legal protection can be found on the Malta Financial Services Authority website: www.mfsa.mt.
